The Role

As an Engineering Stores Controller, once trained, you will maintain our stocks of engineering spares and equipment that is used to support planned maintenance activity.

Working with other departments to ensure we have the supplies that we need, you will ensure engineering spares and equipment are at optimum levels.

You will be involved in ordering, receiving and distributing parts across the site.

Principle accountabilities:

  • Supporting a continuous improvement culture
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety/ quality, health & safety and environment
  • Managing and maintaining stock control
  • Supporting continuous improvement projects and initiatives
  • Managing financial controls and budgets effectively and efficiently
  • Distributing goods safely within the site
  • Managing supply chain data

Key knowledge, skills and expertise Essential:

  • Qualified to GCSE (or equivalent) level in Maths and English
  • Good general and computer literacy with the ability to do simple analysis and populate simple databases and spreadsheets effectively
  • Experienced in MS Office and email systems
  • Attention to detail with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Clear communicator and seeks inputs regarding ideas, plans and priorities
  • Ability to work unsupervised and maintain high standards.

Previous experience in production or stock control environments would be beneficial to your application but is by no means essential. Knowledge of IFS would also be an advantage, as would a counterbalance forklift truck licence.
