Transparent sustainability updates
Our milk, our people and our farmer-owners are all united by a single commitment – to enrich life every day to secure the future.
But our progress in achieving this is only relevant if we are transparent about what we are achieving, and where we have more to do. Each year, we publish a sustainability update in our Annual Report and Accounts.
Robust reporting standards
To ensure that our emissions data is robust we commissioned SLR Consulting Limited to undertake a limited assurance exercise on the greenhouse gas data collated and reported against the GHG Protocol Standards: GHG Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard and Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Accounting and Reporting Standard.
This was undertaken using the process prescribed in the International Standard on Assurance Engagements (IAASB) and confirms that our internal recording of emissions data meets the necessary reporting standards.

B Corp Certification
We are proud to be a Certified B Corporation. B Corp companies meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. B Corp is a non-profit network of businesses transforming the global economy to be a force for good for people, communities, and the planet.
EcoVadis
EcoVadis provides externally verified sustainability ratings for companies. Their evidence-based assessments are based on a range of non-financial areas including environmental, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement impacts.
We are assessed by EcoVadis each year and we recently scored silver on our EcoVadis assessment, putting us in the top 25 per cent of businesses. This provides an externally verified sustainability score that recognises our progress since we introduced our sustainability programmes in 2019.
