The farmer co-operative see the market continuing to strengthen and expect to reflect further upward movement in September.
Earlier this month First Milk wrote to their members detailing plans to discontinue A&B pricing and introduce a Production Bonus from September. August is therefore the last month where the B price is payable and this remains at 25ppl.
First Milk's new CEO Shelagh Hancock will lead farm roadshows across the UK during August where she will give members an update on business progress. The roadshows will also feature Sean Rickard, chair of First Milk's Member Council, who will be sharing his thoughts on Brexit and implications for agriculture.
