The co-operative, which has supplied Nestlé for more than 13 years and is its single largest supplier, was recognised for consistently delivering Nestlé's supply requirements, as well developing and implementing a new farm programme and for working closely with Nestlé to help shape and deliver its strategic objectives.
Commenting on the award win, Shelagh Hancock, First Milk CEO, said:
"We are delighted to have received this award, which is recognition of the high level of service and strategic support that we provide to Nestlé as one of our key customers. Our approach is focused on putting customers at the heart of our business, to ensure that we deliver competitive total returns to our farmer members."
Robin Sundaram, Nestlé Milk Buyer & Responsible Sourcing Manager, added:
"This award is in appreciation of the great strides that First Milk has taken to transform its relationship with Nestlé from a day-to-day transactional approach to a long-term strategic partnership. This is now reflected by the fact that senior members of both businesses meet regularly to agree long-term goals, whilst at the same time ensuring day-to-day service and quality standards are maintained."
