First Milk Elect Cumbrian As Farmer Group Chairman

Cumbrian farmer, Steve Dunning has been elected as chair of the First Milk farmer representative group. The group meets four times each year and represents First Milk's 2500 farmer members throughout Britain.

As chair of the group, Steve will be the key point of contact for all farmer representative issues and will have overall responsibility for the activity of the group.

Steve farms in partnership with his wife and son near Penrith, milking 120 cows and lamb breeding sheep both lowland and hill breeds.

He has been a First Milk farmer representative since 2003, looking after members in mid and south Cumbria.

Commenting on his election, Steve said: "I am pleased to have been elected as chair of the First Milk farmer representative group. I look forward to leading the group and am committed to ensuring that it continues to be effective in representing our members."
