First Milk's AGM conference and dinner will take place this year on 29 October 2009 at Albrighton Hall Hotel near Shrewsbury.
The conference will take place after the formal proceedings of the AGM.
Speakers at the conference include Robert Wiseman, chief executive of Robert Wiseman Dairies, Kevin Bellamy, executive director Global Dairy Platform and First Milk chief executive Peter Humphreys.
Jim Paice MP, Shadow Secretary of State for Agriculture and Rural Affairs will speak at the dinner in the evening.
Peter Humphreys commented: " Over the last couple of years we have built our AGM conference and dinner into a key event in the calendar. This year we have a strong line-up of external speakers who will provide our members with a good insight into the UK and global dairy industry."
First Milk Members will receive a letter and reply card enclosed with this month's milk statement, and places will be secured on a first come first served basis.

Global Dairy Platform (GDP) is an international organisation that provides direction and drive to the dairy industry. Its members are leading dairy corporations, cooperatives and associations who are uniting to strengthen their interests around the world. Based in Chicago, GDP is focused on sustaining and expanding global demand for milk and dairy products.
As Executive Director, Kevin Bellamy is responsible for executing GDP's strategic plan, which is focused on increasing the volume and consistency of scientific communications between of GDP members.
During the first two years of GDP's existence, Kevin grew the organisation from four initial members to a current membership over 50. He formed a Scientific Advisory Board that boasts some of the world's most renowned scientists in health and nutrition from academia and the corporate world, as well as award-winning marketing and communication experts and authorities from the regulatory field.
Prior to joining GDP, Kevin was with the UK's Milk Development Council, first as its Research and Development Director and subsequently six years as Chief Executive Officer. During his tenure, he served on a number of dairy related boards, including the UK dairy council, the National Farmers Union and in various capacities for provision of advice to the UK government.
Robert Wiseman joined the family business in 1975. He worked closely with his brother Alan in the expansion of the business, becoming Managing Director in 1985 and was appointed Chief Executive on 16 May 2005. He has responsibility for all operational matters within the Wiseman Group. He was awarded Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2003.
Jim Paice has been MP for South East Cambridgeshire since 1987. After the General Election of 1997 Jim was appointed Opposition Spokesman on Agriculture and has remained on the front bench ever since. Following the 2001 General Election, Jim was appointed Shadow Minister for Police. Then in September 2004 he was promoted to Shadow Secretary of State for Agriculture and Rural Affairs. He has been the spokesperson for Agriculture and Rural Affairs unbroken since that time.
Prior to being appointed chief executive of First Milk in 2005, Peter Humphreys was group chief executive of CeDo, a leading European manufacturer of disposable household products. Peter has also worked across Europe and China in large multi-national blue chip corporations and smaller international private businesses.
