Following hot on the heels of the co-operative's recent entry into the dairy drinks market with Lake District Dairy Co. Frumoo, First Milk is launching a brand new milk drink. Lake District Dairy Co. Caffe Latte will be available to shoppers from mid-October, and is made with fresh British milk and Arabica coffee.
The brand will be available in two flavours initially, Original and Vanilla, in selected Asda stores throughout the UK.
First Milk's marketing director David Young comments:
"Lake District Caffe Latte is a tasty combination of British milk and Arabica coffee, creating a more nutritious, smooth, creamy and refreshing latte."
"Consumers will find Lake District Caffe Latte, made with fresh milk, to be the British alternative to UHT (longlife) coffee brands from Europe, which currently dominate the RTD (ready-to-drink) coffee sector."
"With the launch of Quark, Frumoo and now Caffe Latte, The Lake District Dairy Co. is establishing itself as a versatile brand, capable of entering a number different markets with its nutritious and wholesome approach to dairy."
Lake District Dairy Co. Frumoo update:
Lake District Frumoo will enter Asda stores together with Caffe Latte; both the brand's strawberry & blackberry, and raspberry & blueberry variants will be available in store from mid-October.
The fresh British milk and real fruit drink will kick off its first sampling campaign this month, giving away a total of 27,000 sample bottles over three weekends. Consumers should look out for the sampling team and stand at Glasgow Silverburn on 19th & 20th October, Manchester Arndale Centre on 26th & 27th October and Milton Keynes The Centre:MK on 2nd & 3rd November.
