Tom Campbell Appointed Vice Chairman

Tom Campbell has been appointed vice chairman of First Milk with immediate effect.

Chairman Bill Mustoe commented, “When I joined First Milk last year, there were lots of people who were able to point out issues, but a smaller number who were recommending clear business solutions. Working alongside him over the last seven months, Tom has a well-structured view on the specific steps we need to take to reshape the business.”

“The vice chairman role has a heavy communication focus both internally and externally. For example, internally Tom will provide member/farmer perspective to me and the Operations Board as well as performing a vital liaison role between the Board and the local representatives, the Board sub-committee’s and the Executive team. I look forward to working with Tom as we continue to drive change and profit into our business.”

Campbell will step down from other external directorships over the next few months to concentrate on the vice chairman role.

Tom was elected to the First Milk Board in 2004 and runs a 230-acre farm in West Kilbride, Ayrshire. In his capacity as local representative, Tom represents members in North Ayrshire, Clyde, Central and East.
