Tony McLoughlin has been appointed general manager at our Lake District Creamery. He has been interim general manager at the site since the end of January and was appointed in the role permanently following an internal and external recruitment process.
Prior to coming to the Lake District Creamery, Tony was interim general manager at our Maelor cheese packing in late 2007 and he has extensive industry experience having worked for Fox’s Biscuits; Cadbury Trebor Bassett and Procter & Gamble.
Jeff Halliwell, managing director of the First Milk Cheese Company, said: “The Lake District Creamery is a key plank of the future plans for our business.
“The role of general manager at the creamery combines day-to-day operational leadership, with the additional responsibility of being a lead ambassador both for our Lake District cheeses, and with the local community.”
