Speaking to Local Representatives on 30 April, DairyCo’s Chief Economist Kay Carson talked about the strengths of the UK dairy sector.
She said the UK is good at milk production due in part to our favourable climate and favourable farm structure.
She also talked about the UK’s developed industrial infrastructure and our protected consumer market.
Her views were echoed by the Local Representatives who found her perspective interesting and reinforced the view that the First Milk strategy is the right one for our business.
