We have re-drawn the boundary map for our Welsh Area Managers following the news that long-serving and highly respected Area Manager Phillip Thomas is retiring due to ill health.
Many of you will be aware that Phil underwent a number of eye operations last year and unfortunately, it will remain uncertain for some time whether he will require further operations.
Deciding to retire has been a difficult decision for Phil and for First Milk as it means we are losing one of our most valued employees.
Paying tribute, Southern Membership Manager, Lee Truelove, said: “I would like to thank Phil for his outstanding service to First Milk and our members in Pembrokeshire and beyond over many, many years. It is very rare indeed to witness the levels of dedication and energy that Phil has given to his role.
“Phil has specifically asked me to pass on his heartfelt thanks for all the good wishes he has received during the last twelve months from members. This loyalty and support has meant a lot to him over the years.”
To ensure we provide excellent Area Manager cover to all of our Welsh members, we have re-jigged the boundaries. Sam Price will look after our East Wales members while Peter Llewellin has become fully responsible for most of Pembrokeshire and West Carmarthenshire. Simon Pitt meanwhile, becomes responsible for all members north of a line between Fishguard and Hebron, as well as all organic members in West Wales.
