With one of the main agricultural shows of the season upon us, First Milk and The First Milk Cheese Company are all geared up for The Royal Highland Show at Edinburgh from 19 – 22nd June.
Following the successful launch of Scottish Pride cheddar at last summer’s show, our cheese business is once again offering visitors a chance to sample Scotland’s everyday family cheddar in The Great Scottish Toastie.
We have linked up with Allied Bakeries, who are supplying thousands of Scottish-made Kingsmill loaves for our toasties. This is the first step in building a strategic partnership between Scottish Pride and Allied Bakeries. We have already enjoyed a successful partnership during EatScotland week and we will look to develop retailer opportunities together in the future.
Last year, we made over 14,000 toasties, which were a welcome warm treat amidst the gloomy weather of last year’s Royal Highland Show. But come hail or shine, the First Milk cheese team are confident that even more toasties will be sampled this year. As always, our Farmer Directors, Local Representatives and Executive team look forward to meeting members, their families and staff at the First Milk stand.
