In some ways we find ourselves in a similar situation to last summer with the need for significant moves on milk price to maintain confidence in the industry. However, the challenge this year is that we will have to achieve price increases without the support of a booming commodity sector. In addition we have the hot topic of food price inflation and its impact on consumers.

Our Scottish Pride Success Story Continues… |

Our ‘Great Scottish Pride Cheese Toastie’ was once again a sell-out at this year’s Royal Highland Show as demand continually exceeded supply. More than 20,000 cheese toasties were given away by Scottish Pride over the four days - and those consumers who loved the taste also led to us selling more Scottish Pride and Highlands and Islands cheeses than ever before at the show.

Royal Highland Show Winner |

Congratulations to Albert Crichton from Newtonairds Farm in Dumfries who was the winner of our Royal Highland Show competition to guess the mileage on our Scottish Pride tanker. The actual mileage was 43,551 miles – and Albert guessed 43,685 – just 134 miles over. A Scottish Pride goodie bag is already on its way to the farm. |
