First Milk Direct’s exclusive Cluster Exchange scheme launched in partnership with Avon Milk-Rite has now been running for a year and has been a great success.

To date, over 115 members have signed up, with over 13,000 cows now being milked on the scheme.

Our initial launch involved an exclusive Avon cluster with the revolutionary triangular liners, which increase cow comfort, speed up milking and increase milk flow. As a result of our scheme, FM Direct is now the single biggest user of triangular liners in the UK.

Cluster exchange offers members a very simple way to upgrade their existing cluster and to change milking liners. The process is very straightforward:

• Sign up to the scheme
• Your new cluster is delivered
• Changeover date is calculated
• Replacement cluster is sent in advance of this date
• Change clusters by detaching and attaching two tubes
• Put old cluster back in box
• Call freephone number and someone will collect it.
• Mind at ease!

Members who have signed up say they would not consider leaving the scheme!
