A series of meetings have been arranged across the country with our hauliers, who as key partners, have an integral role to play in helping us achieve our mission of making our members better off with First Milk. Supervisors and depot managers are being invited to the sessions where they will be given presentations on activities within the wider First Milk business as well as information on sales, membership and distribution.
Northern Membership Manager, James Baird, explained: “While the drivers are not First Milk employees, they are often the most regular interaction members will have with the business, given they are seeing drivers on a daily or every other day basis.
"We felt it was important that the supervisors fully understood our business which has moved on significantly in the last year. We will also re-emphasise the standards we expect from drivers when they visit our members. We want our hauliers to deliver both quality and service not just to our members but also to our customers.
"We will use these sessions to emphasise that this is very much a partnership approach and by working together, we are more likely to attain high quality standards.”
