The Membership team at First Milk is welcoming two new area managers into the fold.
Anne Coates (left) started on 17 December as Area Manager for the East Midlands. A farmer’s daughter, Anne still lives and works at the family farm in Derbyshire.
Anne has spent her entire life working within the farming industry. Up until three years ago, she was actively involved with the day to day running of her family dairy farm along with assisting others with cattle shows and sales in her spare time. She also has her own pedigree Holstein and Jersey cows and has been an active member of the young farmers and Hostein young breeders.
"My life has always revolved around cows and I have always wanted to take on this type of role. I am looking forward to building a solid working relationship with our East Midlands and East Anglian members and I am sure they will find me as passionate about dairying as they are.”
Also relatively new to the team is Sam Price (right), who is presently working in the Area Manager role on a temporary basis. Sam is working alongside Peter Llellewin in East Wales.
Sam has been a member of the Membership team for the past three years, having come to work with us during her gap year from Harper Adams College in Shropshire where she gained her Agricultural Food and Marketing degree.
“Since leaving college, I have always wanted this type of hands-on role and I am very keen to support our members in East Wales. Having grown up in the farming community, it was inevitable I would feel the pull towards a career in the industry. I’m already really enjoying my new role.”
